Off we go again:  last June, our friends from Soul Running have sent a new invitation and I’m back to Italy for a Press Trip.  This time, the Toscana Romagna region has extended an invitation to various journalists to enjoy three days of outdoor activities including e-bikes and trail running and a lot of culture and great food:  Italy in a nutshell.  See below itinerary, photos and resources:  enjoy!

Day 1:  Evening arrival into Bologna airport and transfer to the amazing Country Resort of Corte San Ruffillo.

Late arrival for dinner at Corte San Ruffilo resort. Corte San Ruffillo make their own organic wine, meats, fruit and vegetables –

Day 2:  E-Bikes Tour of the Countryside

Morning Breakfast at Corte San Ruffillo – Corte San Ruffillo

Ebike guided tour from Portico up to see the ‘smallest volcano’ Monte Della Busca – –

The amazing Ponte della Brusìa in Bocconi

The Abbey San Benedetto in Alpe

Food, food & more Italian food –

Day 3:  Visit of the Ridracoli Dam & overnight in Castrocaro

Town of Santa Sofia –

Tour of the Ridrocali Dam and Ecomuseum of Water –

A bit of Trail Running near the Rifugio Ca ‘di Sopra above the Dam

Evening time in Castrocaro’sGrand Hotel with visit to the local spa –

Day 4:  Last E-Bike tour of Castrocaro before flying back

Early morning breakfast at the ‘grand’ Grand Hotel in Castrocaro –

Back on ebikes for another guided tour with Francesca around the hills and vignards of Castrocaro – –

Visit of the Castrocaro Fortress –

Messing around at the Fortress

Last visit of the day through the Castello Capitano: shock of generations and culture –
